Branding | Identity & Design for Atlasenergetik, Austria

​​​​​​​Atlasenergetik is a health care practice, especially under the believe that the Atlas (being out of balance) affects general health. It is not meant to replace the therapeutic work of the medical profession but is a support – intertwining body, mind and spirit. 
The Atlas is the most superior (first) cervical vertebra of the spine (C1). It is named for the Atlas of the Greek mythology (Atlas was the Titan god of endurance and astronomy, condemned to hold up the sky). It supports the globe of the head.

With this background information to design an identity without featuring the atlas proofed impossible. The Atlas itself is – simplified – a logo.
It is ring-like and is usually ossified from three centres. The Atlas – simplified – reminds of a triangle.
The identity is designed from a simple shape: a triangle which was layered to create a globe. A reference to the Atlas and its function.
I tried to avoid traditional alternative medicine iconography and typical colours. Instead the aim was to create something different – one overall symbol trying to sum up all the different aspects of the Atlas and its function. unified in visual language.
